Job Specifications

Care Worker Job Specification

Assist service users with morning getting up, dressing, washing, bathing, and toileting
Handling household tasks like grocery shopping and laundry
Preparing and serving meals at the appropriate time
To encourage service users to remain as independent as possible
Administering oral and topical medication under the supervision of medical personnel
Providing mental and emotional support
Making recommendations to family members and healthcare personnel on the plan of care
To assist service users with mobility problems and other physical disabilities
Prepare light meals, plan a healthy and nutritious menu for service users.
Organising suitable recreational activities for the patient

Person Specification

Be organised and flexible
To be caring and confidential at all times
Sensitive to the needs of others and to the sick or infirm
A good team player but also able to work on their own initiative
Good communicational and listening skills
Fluent in English
Due to the nature of domiciliary care, as well as the location of some of our service users, applicants with their own car are preferred
